How to Remove Reviews from Facebook?

  • December 24, 2018

Let’s face it, sometimes people in cyberspace are not very nice. When people are dissatisfied, they are sure to tell the rest of the world about it.

Social media has made it so easy for upset customers to tell everybody about their bad experiences. The web has also provided a platform for unhappy people to engage in personal grudges against companies as well as giving them a platform for complaining about how unfair these company’s pricing and practices are.

While the internet has enabled easy communication and greater business transparency, which can help improve customer service, it can also be very damaging if you find yourself on the receiving end of negative reviews.

Sadly, not so positive reviews and comments about your firm may not only hurt your feelings, but it can also have a tremendously negative impact on your company’s profitability.

According to a marketing survey, 84% of online consumers trust the reviews they find online in the same way as the referrals they get from friends. In fact, 68% report that they will look up business profiles’ reviews on social media.

It is no surprise that a lot of people would only go to certain restaurants and do business with companies that have a certain minimum rating. If they go below that rating, they don’t do any business with them.

It is imperative that you know how to figure out how to get fake or negative Facebook profile page reviews taken out.

Please note that it’s not going to be an easy and smooth process. If you want really quick results, just turn off the reviews feature of your Facebook profile page. This takes out the tab that people can click for your reviews.

Before you try to get negative reviews deleted, you might want to consider whether it makes sense to remove Facebook reviews. In some cases, keeping a negative review might actually make your company look better.

How? Well, when you step the reader to how you resolved the complaint and how quickly your company moved, you get an opportunity to showcase your company’s customer handling skills.

Reporting False or Fake Facebook Reviews

Go to your Facebook page’s reviews section. Look at the right hand section just below the profile image for your company. Pinpoint the review you would like to dispute.

Notice that on that review’s box, there are three dots at the upper right side. After you click on the dots, you will see an option “Report Post.” Click on that link.

After you have opted to report the link, you will be asked two choices. Facebook will ask you what you don’t like about this review.

The options are: “It has nothing to do with this page” and “I think it shouldn’t be on Facebook.” You can use both, but you have to know the reasons why.

You can select “It has nothing to do with this page” if you are sure that a competitor or people who never visited your business left a fraudulent review.

On the other hand, you can select “I think it shouldn’t be on Facebook” if the review is personal in nature, if it is fueled by racial or gender discrimination or religious hate, or involves any kind of personal attack.

Study the review first. Get a clear understanding of the best way to classify it. Select the option that best fits your situation.

Facebook might ask you to further explain. You should then provide further details.

Please note that Facebook usually will not resolve reports unless it deems the report as involving something illegal, dangerous or threatening.
